"It’ll be five years this month since we started service with ADT. We purchased a new house then and the house was totally wired for security. I was familiar with ADT in terms of their performance and their reliability. So, we had an opportunity to have ADT come out and set up our security system. And we did. And we’ve been with them ever since.
Their installers really didn’t have to do much since the house was totally already wired, all the windows, the doors etc. All they had to do was put in the box and wire into it and set up the various zones. So, the installation went smoothly. There was a time I called their customer service but it had more to do with pricing issues in terms of Comcast contacting me to get their security system at a fairly reduced price compared to what ADT was charging me. And ADT agreed to match it for two years. Our experience with ADT has all been good."

"All of my outside doors and the garage door are hardwired by ADT. I also have digital mounted monitors both in the basement and on the first level that detects any motion if anybody breaks the window and gets in. I occasionally set my alarm off by mistake, but they’re always quick to call and check to make sure that there isn’t anything going on.
Once or twice they’ve detected some motion in the basement, and usually it’s been a bug or something that is crawling over the camera. They also always want me to check to make sure that there isn’t anybody who had gotten in. The people who call are very respectful, too. I’m very satisfied with ADT. They have very reliable service."
